Off the Shelf and Custom Wire Grommets for Electronic and Electrical Cables

Over the years, we dedicated considerable resources and expertise to supplying the cable assembly and OEM markets with off-the-shelf and custom wire grommets, and other wire management products, made from plastic, rubber, nylon, etc. The wire grommets protect cables when entering or exiting a system. The point at which a cable exits a connector body or other component can be a critical failure point.

Our wire grommets are available with over 1,500,000 different configurations with no tooling cost required. Minimum order quantities are as low as 100pc for standard off the shelf parts, and 250pc minimum for custom molded products.

Strain Relief and Flex Relief Solutions:

Strain relief in an interconnect component can be defined as internal stress relief at the termination point or flex relief at the cable exit area. Internal to a connector or termination point, such as a breakout transition, is the point at which the wires are terminated to contacts or other wires. Many devices require the addition of strain relief in these critical areas. Molded strain reliefs, also commonly referred to as molded cable grips may be the answer. Over molding the contact and wire termination area can improve the pull-force performance, typically by a factor of two to three.

In addition to strain relief considerations, the flex life of the cable can be improved up to four times, by incorporating an over molded flex relief.
